NEWSAGENCY TRAINING SCHOOL
The Queensland Newsagents Federation conducts an Introduction
to the Industry training school for incoming and prospective
newsagents at the beginning of each month. Industry associates
participate to provide information and assistance.
The training provides the prospective purchaser with an overview
of the industry to assist in the decision process. For attendees
already signed to purchase the seminar gives confidence to enter
the industry with the knowledge and resources needed.
The 3 1/2 day course provides an overview of matters pertaining
specifically to the industry and small business retailing. Subjects

The QNF has a subsidiary brokerage company functioning as an autonomous
operation. QNF Sales is a specialist newsagency
broker handling the transfer on behalf of newsagent and accounts
for a significant percentage of all newsagency sales. QNF Sales Consultants are available during the training for any queries
on newsagencies for sale and general information.

EVENTS - What's On
ANF Conference - 21-24 August 2011

The 2011 newsagency industry conference is taking place at the
Crown Conference Centre. Crown Conference Centre is situated
with direct elevator access to the Crown Promenade Hotel, a 4.5
star hotel in the heart of Melbourne.
Strategically located near the Central Business District and leisure
precincts, the award-winning hotel is part of the Crown Entertainment
Complex which offers more than 50 restaurants and bars, cinemas,
24-hour world-class casino, entertainment and retail facilities.
The hotel features 465 guest rooms offering floor to ceiling views
of the city or bay. In addition, the hotel houses a 25m indoor pool,
heated spa pool and a fully equipped gym. The main conference
sessions with be taking place in the Crown Conference Centre on
Level 1 in the main promenade room.
Alternatively, the Crown Metropol is accessible from the Crown
Conference Centre via the air bridge. The hotel features 658
designer inspired rooms and is home to Gordon Ramsay's
restaurant maze. In addition, the Crown Metrolpol offers the ISIKA
Day Spa and a pool with stunning city views.
